Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the KidLock team to answer common privacy and data-handling questions. Last updated: June 2026.

1. What we collect

• Account data: email, name, avatar.
• Child profile data: nickname, age, avatar — entered by the parent.
• Device telemetry the parent enables: app usage, screen time, battery, location, unlock counts.
• Operational logs (errors, audit events) for security and reliability.

2. How we use it

To provide parental-control features, generate insights and reports, send notifications you opted into, and detect abuse.

3. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Subprocessors include our cloud hosting and AI provider for insight generation. Data is never shared with advertisers.

4. Retention & deletion

You can export or delete your account at any time from Account & Privacy. Deletion is permanent and cascades to all child and device records.
